I have trekked and camped along the Salkantay route to Machu Picchu (5 days) and also hold Tofino as one of my favorite places I have ever visited. I highly recommend both! I spent two months in Peru and cried when I had to leave. It is a very special place.
Sadly, I didn’t! I had two weeks left of my trip and had to decide between rainforest or mountains and I chose more mountains. I ventured on to the Cordillera Blancas north of Lima.

I’ve followed you for so long and before even getting to your ideas- I thought… she must go to Mallorca. We stayed at the Belmond and it is simply perfection. Also, we went to Machu Picchu this year and that would be an incredible adventure for you. PM me if you would like!
Nice to find you here! Enjoyed your travel ideas. I’m off to discover Portugal and Spain, including the Fallas celebrations in Valencia, for the month of March. Later this year comes one of the exotic, one-time trips with OAT to Indonesia for a month. Jakarta to Bali,with 5 days in the jungle with monkeys. I also love cruises with Viking but am choosing more challenging adventures this year.
Saving this post for my 50th! Have only been to Tofino. It’s extraordinary! My travel desires are similar to yours. I want beauty, relaxation and peace. No huge parties or influencers.
I think I am madly in love with Canada - that's where I feel most drawn, for any circumstance. I am going to the PNW for the very first time in two months, and I am kicking myself for not taking more time to jump over to Vancouver Island. Beauty, relaxaation and peace is where it's at :)

Ahhh thank you! Mallorca and the entire Mediterranean are seemingly in my blood because it's all I think about.
