No Medical Advice

NO MEDICAL ADVICE HERE
To start, you all know that I am a registered nurse. However, anything I speak of, write about, or share here is for educational purposes. I do not, nor will I give medical advice. Also, I share a lot of personal information. I have no problem talking about bodily functions, mine or yours. As a nurse, I speak about this all day and night. When it comes to the body, how it works, and how we can maintain and optimize our health, it has to start with a conversation. And I am all about this conversation.
I will share my curiosity with you. I will share my experiences, the highs and lows, what I have learned, what I find works well (for me), what does not (again, for me), how to know the difference, where to find answers, how to decipher real information from propaganda, who to ask, what to read, and how to talk to your own PCP/GYN (or another trustworthy physician) if you choose to do so. The main priority here is not just to take a peek behind the curtain but to tear down the curtain so we can explore all the ins and outs of this midlife f*ckery and educate ourselves so we can feel empowered and confident in making informed decisions that are right for us as individuals. Not decisions that are right for your mother, your sister, your best friend, or even your favored mentor, but the right decisions for you!
I also want to mention my own bias with this material. I am not sharing this information to get anyone to do or not do anything. But it’s human nature to lean towards what we believe is true for us. My hope is to stay aware of when I may be doing this and, in turn, be as transparent as I can be when sharing.
