The Sober Glow Studio is an extension of what was started on social media circa 2016. As I have evolved, the topics I cover have naturally evolved. Here, I provide stories, recommendations, and resources on the art of living an alcohol-free lifestyle, navigating health & midlife, and anything that simply feels good.
Let’s start with this summer vibe, feel-good playlist via the culinary researcher Laila Said. You are invited to open the windows and dance around with me!
I have been considering ways to engage this community more and get to know the thousands of you here every week. The purpose of starting this substack was always to have a sense of community, not just me throwing information out into the ether and having no idea if anyone is connecting with it or me. Your stories and experiences are what make this community rich and vibrant. You are the heart of this substack, and I would love to hear from more of you.
One of my favorite substacks is
. A big part of that newsletter is the open Q&A. It's brilliant and an excellent way to hear from all kinds of different folks. And so I have been inspired to bring that here.In 2022, I originally invited community members to write their sober stories that could be shared here with all the readers. I received some really great submissions, but I mostly had a lot of questions about directions in their writing. A lot of people wanted to write their stories, but they also wanted to be told what to write and how to write it. And that is not my wheelhouse. I saw firsthand that when people are not used to writing, an open, free-for-all format can be overwhelming. That's why I'm introducing a more specific questionnaire format. It's designed to make you feel more comfortable, to guide you through the process, and to encourage your participation.
There are two different Q&As. If you are feeling frisky, you can answer and submit both. Click on the links below to get the list of questions.
